Terms
The terms every engagement runs on. Your signed quote governs if the two ever disagree.
Bookings are requests until confirmed
Sending a booking request reserves nothing and charges nothing. A date is held once we reply confirming it in writing, together with the final quote. Until then the date remains open to others.
Prices and quotes
Prices on this site are starting prices and estimates. The written quote is the price. It states VAT, delivery, overtime rates and anything else that could change the number, so nothing appears on an invoice that was not agreed first.
Deposits and payment
Productions and packages take a 50% deposit to hold the date, with the balance due on delivery. Equipment rental takes a refundable security deposit released after inspection on return.
Cancellation
Cancel more than 30 days before the date and the deposit is refunded in full. Inside 30 days it is retained against crew and kit already committed. We will always try to move a date rather than lose it, weather and illness included.
Equipment rental
Rented equipment stays our property. It must be insured for its replacement value for the whole rental period, returned in the condition it left in, and used by someone competent to use it. Loss or damage is charged at replacement cost less any insurance recovery.
Who owns the work
Film masters and edited stills transfer to you on final payment, for unlimited use. We keep the right to show the work in our own portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to — which is a reasonable thing to ask, and we agree to it often.
Engineering work
Code we write for you is yours, in a repository you own from the first commit, with no licence retained by us. Third-party dependencies keep their own licences. Pre-existing Lunar tooling used inside your project is licensed to you perpetually and without fee.
Liability
Our liability for any engagement is limited to the fees paid for it. We carry production insurance and professional indemnity cover, and will share the certificates on request.
